Friday, July 13: This morning Father Procopius Lototskyj, OSBM continued his presentation on Formation. He began by responding to questions that the Sisters had submitted, and he then went on, speaking about the vows. He mentioned that the vows are a gift of the Trinity which allows salvation. Poverty makes us one with God and with the poor; chastity is not being without, rather it is love of God and neighbor; and by obedience wherein one can give herself freely as Christ gave Himself freely. Father added that Basilian Spirituality is both gospel and liturgical. A liturgical person is one who understands the gospel and who knows that it is to be continuous prayer rather than to just repeat prayer.
A Sister commented that she had been told that first one must be a good woman, then a good Christian, and then a good nun.

During the next session, the Handbook on Formation was presented for Chapter approval. This is a guidebook that was in the making for several years. After questions were addressed and clarifications made, the delegates voted to approve and accept the handbook.

The day concluded with a lengthy discussion of several proposals that had been submitted in regard to looking to the future, and in consideration of finances and government structure

The Sister delegates decided that they would not meet on Saturday morning.
