Welcome to the website of the Sisters of the Order of St. Basil the Great.

Sister Miriam Claire Kowal, OSBM General Superior       We are an international Order of the Catholic Church of the Eastern Rite. We are formed in its tradition, discipline, and spirituality, as well as by the teaching of St. Basil the Great and the Eastern Fathers.     The Rule of St. Basil places great emphasis on love of God and of neighbour. The education of youth is one of the services recommended by St. Basil. We also work in charitable institutions, hospitals, engage in parochial work, catechize, administer religious institutions, issue publications, write icons and do liturgical sewing. We are at the service of Universal Church especially of the Eastern Rite.
