27 01 17 1During the days of January 27-28, 2017, the delegates of the Holy Family Delegature of the Order of Sisters of St. Basil the Great in Australia met for their Delegature Chapter. By secret ballot the following were elected to leadership positions: Sr. Anisia Szewczuk, OSBM to a second term as Delegature Superior and re-elected Vicar and Councillor Sister Lucia Anheluk, OSBM.

The Sisters then proceeded to develop their “vision” for the Delegature’s future. On February 11, 2017, the Basilian Sisters began their celebration of the Golden Jubilee of the founding of their Holy Family Delegature in Australia. The celebration opened with a Divine Liturgy celebrated in the Church of Saint Andrew in Sydney. The following week jubilee celebrations were held in the Cathedral Saints Peter and Paul in Melbourne.
We wish the elected Sisters God’s blessings on their ministry, especially in this significant Jubilee Year for their Delegature. May Our Lord reward their 50-years of faithful service in His vineyard on the Australian continent. May the seeds of the Word of God and His Heavenly Kingdom sown by the Sisters, take root and bring forth a bountiful harvest!
