01 01 17 1On January 1st, the Feast of St. Basil the Great, Mother Dia Stasiuk, General Superior, and the Basilian Sisters at the Generalate had the pleasant opportunity to welcome guests, Mother Teresa Slota, Superior General, with the Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate Sisters living at their Generalate in Rome, and the Sister Catechists of St. Anne, including Sister Rita Baldo, Superior of the “Santa Sofia” convent at the parish of St. Sergius and Bacchas in Rome and Sister Delilah Shmehelsky, Superior Administrator in Ukraine, as well as, other Sisters from their community.

The Sisters entered with Christmas greetings and resounding carols echoing in the air. Following a visit to the Generalate Chapel all gathered in the refectory. A splendid time was had by all, as God was praised in a multitude of carols, individuals shared their wisdom, and all enjoyed the homemade Christmas cookies and treats. All were grateful for the blessed opportunity to share time together celebrating the special and festive Christmas time.
