The Sisters of the Order of Saint Basil the Great in the Holy Cross Province in Poland held their Provincial Chapter of Elections during January 24 - 27, 2017.

The Chapter opened with a Hierarchal Divine Liturgy celebrated by Most Reverend Evhen Popovich, Metropolitan-Archbishop of Peremysyl-Warsaw, who shared pastoral thoughts during the homily. Spiritual renewal was provided by Rev. Mykola Kozicki, OSBM, Provincial Superior of the Basilian Fathers in Poland.

The Sister delegates elected the following Sisters to their new Provincial Administration:

Mother Magdalena Szewczyk, General Superior (2nd term)
Sister Teresa Maliniak, Vicar and First Councilor
Sister Natalia Hukowicz, Second Councilor
Sister Ann Piecunko, Third Councilor

We will the newly-elected Provincial Administration God’s bountiful blessings, much spiritual and physical strength, so that in humility and openness they can respond to the call of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. May the Blessed Mother protect them and guide them as they carry the light of Christ in service to the Order, the Church and God’s faithful people.
