In St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome on November 12, 2018 Bishop Dionisio Lachovicz, Apostolic Visitator for Ukrainian Catholics in Italy, celebrated a Hierarchal Divine Liturgy at the altar of Saint Basil the Great, which holds the uncorrupted remains of Priest-Martyr Saint Josaphat.

From the Generalate the following Basilian Sisters participated – General Superior Mother Dia Stasiuk, General Vicar Sr. Lydia Anna Sawka, General Councilor and Treasurer Sr. Mariela Rotzen, Councilor Sr. Nazariya Mykhayliuk, and Sr. Atanasia Anheluk. Also, present were Basilian Sisters from the mission community at Boccea (the Basilica of St. Sofia in Rome) – Sr. Athanasius Pavliuk, Sr. Maria Sakovska and Sr. Mahdalyna Vytvytska.

Joining the numerous clergy and members of consecrated life, was a group of pilgrims from Ukraine. All participants sincerely prayed for unity in Christ’s Church and peace in the world.

Mother Dia and Sr. Lydia Anna were invited later to the Pontifical Collegio of Priest-Martyr St. Josaphat for a celebration of the Akathist to St. Josaphat and a festive dinner.
