07 08 16 1The Canonical Visitation of the Sisters in the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Province was held from April 6 to April 25, 2016 at the motherhouse monastery in Uniontown.  Sister Dia Stasiuk met with the Sisters on missions first, since they came from their missions in Phoenix, AZ, Youngstown, OH and Wilkes-Barre, PA.  Sisters in the Pittsburgh area and Uniontown had the opportunity to meet with Sister Dia individually.  Sister Mariela Rotzen, General Councillor, joined Sister Dia in Uniontown to meet with Sister Helen Millow, Provincial Treasurer, about the financial aspects and concerns of the Province.

The Sisters in the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Province embody a collective wisdom that surges from their prayer life and ministry to the people of God in the Byzantine and Latin churches.  Their ministires are various:  pastoral works in parishes, support of the Metropolitan and Eparchial Chanceries, St. Macrina House of Prayer and Mount Macrina Manor.  The members of the Province strive to live out the Order’s Mission to be Christ’s praying, healing and life-giving presence.

The kind attention and thoughtfulness of Sister Ruth Plante, Provincial Superior, and the Sister Councillors were greatly appreciated by Sister Dia and Sister Mariela.
