During the days of February 6 – 10, 2017, the Basilian Sisters of the Province of Immaculate Heart of Mary in Roman held their VI Provincial Chapter in the monastery of Saint Macrina in Cluj-Napoca.

The theme of the Chapter was “Mercy, like a Father with the Heart of a Mother!” The facilitator was Sister Barbara Jean Mihalchick, OSBM from the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Province in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, USA. After discussing the basic direction of future development of the Province, the Sisters chose their new administration. Elected were the following Sisters:

Sr. Marcela Runcan, Provincial Superior
Sr. Laurentia Bolfa-Otic, First Councilor and Vicar
Sr. Adriana Doci, Second Councilor
Sr. Varvara Cotu, Third Councilor

We pray for God’s generous blessings upon the newly elected members of the administration. May the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, our Blessed Mother, our founders Saint Basil the Great and Saint Macrina guide you, dear Sister Marcela and Councilors, during your service to your Sisters for the good of Christ’s Church and all of God’s people. May you always have peace and joy in your hearts as you seek to recognize God’s plans and His Holy Will for the Basilian Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Province.
