The General Superior Mother Dia Stasiuk, OSBM and the General Councilor/Treasurer Sister Mariela Rotzen traveled from Rome to visit our Sister of the Order of Saint Basil the Great in Eastern Europe during June 23 - 28, 2018.

Arriving in Zagreb, they met with the Sisters of the Saint Michael the Archangel Province in their monastery, as well as, the community of Sisters from the Vice-Province of Saint Basil and Saint Macrina. This gave them an opportunity to visit with Sister Pulherija Drkusic, who has been ill recently.

On June 24, 2018, Mother Dia and Sister Mariela arrived at the monastery of the Vice-Province of Saints Cyril and Methodius in Secovce, Slovakia to see our Sisters. The following day after lunch they continued their travels to Hungary and stayed with the Basilian Sisters at the Dormition of the Mother of God in Mariapocs. During their time there, Sister Agota Imre celebrated 50 years since professing Final Vows. Following Divine Liturgy celebrated for Sister Agota, Mother Dia and Sister Mariela greeted Sister Agota and presented her with an icon and a special certificate with greetings for the occasion. Sister was extremely touched and very grateful for the special surprise.

Later that day, Mother Dia and Sister Mariela left for Croatia, where they stopped at the Vice-Provincial monastery in Krizevci. Sisters of that community gathered for an open and candid discussion regarding community life. Mother Dia had a special address to the Sisters. On June 27, Mother Dia and Sister Mariela again traveled to Zagreb, stopping at the Vic-Provincial monastery before their return the following day to Rome.
