During the Great Fast on March 25, 2017 novice Viktorija Eršeg professed Temporary Vows for three years in the Vice-Province of Saint Basil and Saint Macrina accepted by Vice-Province Superior Sister Fevronija Rapljenović, OSBM.
On February 19, 2017 at the Monastery of Protection of the Blessed Mother of the Sisters of the Order of Saint Basil the Great (Most Holy Trinity Province, Ukraine) located in the city of Yavoriv in the Lviv Archeparchy a special event took place.

MOTHER MARIA OLGA was one of 10 children born to Thomas and Anna Afinec who, during difficult times, left their native Ukraine and migrated to Argentina in 1910. Olga was born on 11th September, 1919 destined to become Mother Maria.
After pastoral visitations in Argentina, Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytskyj, revealed a desire to send the Basilian nuns to the Ukrainian people.
Because of his efforts, Mother Sofronia Erdeli OSBM, and Sister Margareta Fendo OSBM arrived to Argentina from Galicia (Pidmyhaylivtsi) on the 20th August 1939.
During the days of February 6 – 10, 2017, the Basilian Sisters of the Province of Immaculate Heart of Mary in Roman held their VI Provincial Chapter in the monastery of Saint Macrina in Cluj-Napoca.
During the days of January 27-28, 2017, the delegates of the Holy Family Delegature of the Order of Sisters of St. Basil the Great in Australia met for their Delegature Chapter. By secret ballot the following were elected to leadership positions: Sr. Anisia Szewczuk, OSBM to a second term as Delegature Superior and re-elected Vicar and Councillor Sister Lucia Anheluk, OSBM.
The Sisters of the Order of Saint Basil the Great in the Holy Cross Province in Poland held their Provincial Chapter of Elections during January 24 - 27, 2017.
