07 08 16 1The Canonical Visitation of the Sisters in the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Province was held from April 6 to April 25, 2016 at the motherhouse monastery in Uniontown.  Sister Dia Stasiuk met with the Sisters on missions first, since they came from their missions in Phoenix, AZ, Youngstown, OH and Wilkes-Barre, PA.  Sisters in the Pittsburgh area and Uniontown had the opportunity to meet with Sister Dia individually.  Sister Mariela Rotzen, General Councillor, joined Sister Dia in Uniontown to meet with Sister Helen Millow, Provincial Treasurer, about the financial aspects and concerns of the Province.

April 24, 2016 Sisters Lydia Anna Sawka, Nazariya Mykhaylyuk, Mahdalyna Vytvytska, Sevastiyana Zinkevych, Anhelyna Nahornyak, Dymytriya Tydir, and Dariya Turkiv represented the Basilian Sisters and by participating in the annual Stations of the Cross (during the Great Fast – Julian calendar) held on the grounds of St. Sophia Basilica on Via Boccea.

08 08 16 3Sister Anastasia Stulkivska, who completed her studies in clinical psychology and community at the Universita Pontificia Salesiana (Pontifical University of the Salesians) in Rome, Italy was co-organizer and speaker of a seminar entitled “The Educator: A Competent Individual to Accompany Children and Youth Struggling with Problems of Adaptation”. The seminar was held on March 30 – 31, 2016 in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine.

08 08 16 5On March 29, 2016 - The Sisters living at the Generalate traditionally go on an Emmaus trip during Bright Week. This year the day-long trip was to Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius. The first stop was at the beautiful Cathedral Shrine of the Blesssed Virgin of the Rosary of Pompei where the Sisters were able to join in the celebration of Mass and then tour the basilica and bell tower.

27 03 16 1March 27, 2016 – Celebration of the Resurrection of Our Lord, Jesus Christ.

March 20, 2016 – His Holiness Pope Francis blessed palms and olive branches and then celebrated Mass for the Feast of Palm Sunday on the Piazza of St. Peter’s Basilica. Attending the celebrations were Mother Dia Stasiuk, Sister Atanasia Anheluk, Sister Sevastiyana Zinkevych and Sister Iryneya Filipovych.

08 08 16 4March 15, 2016 – Sister Mahdalyna Vytvytska and Sister Anastasia Stulkivska (both from the Holy Trinity Province, Ukraine) attended a meeting and reception for Renovabis scholarship students.
