On the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, September 14, 2017, in the magnificent Basilica in Lutyn, Slovakia a solemn ceremony took place during which Sister Terezia Benarikova from the Mother of God Province in Presov, Slovakia made her Perpetual Profession to God in the community of the Sisters of the Order of Saint Basil the Great.

August 20, 2017 is a special day in the history of the community of Sisters of the Order of St. Basil the Great in Ukraine.

On July 16, 2017 at the parish church in Reserva (Parana), Brazil, an extraordinary church event took place when Sister Maria Goretti Schitz, a member of the Sisters of the Order of St. Basil the Great, from the Delegature of Saint Macrina professed her Perpetual Vows in consecrated life.

After participating in a community retreat with the theme “Transformation Through Humility,” conducted by Reverend Archpriest Daniel Troyan, the Sisters of the Order of Saint Basil the Great convened their annual Community Days. Held from July 5 to 7, 2017, the event comprised prayer, meetings, informative presentations, and socializing. Provincial Superior Sister Dorothy Ann Busowski greeted participants and attendees.

06 07 17 2The Basilian Sisters Governance Commission met at the Generalate in Rome from June 5 to 9, 2017. Members of the Commission once again reviewed the X General Chapter’s mandates, shared their impressions and findings gleaned during the presentations of possible governance models in our provinces, Vice Provinces and Delegatures.
