01 10 16 1October 1, 2016, the Feast of the Patronage of the Mother of God (following the Gregorian calendar) was a momentous day for the Basilian Sisters of the St. Basil and St. Macrina Vice-Province, for all Sisters in the Order of St. Basil, and for the entire Greek Catholic Church in Croatia.

Having completed two years of novitiate, and after living five years of professed Temporary Vows, Sister Terezija Pilić, OSBM solemnly declared her desire to serve God, one in the Holy Trinity and to live her entire life in poverty, chastity and obedience with the Sisters of the Order of Saint Basil the Great. Witnessed by many clergy and faithful and in the presence of Most Reverend Nikola Kekić, Bishop of Križevci, Provincial Superior Sister Fevronija Rapljenović, delegated by the General Superior, received Sister Terezija’s Perpetual Profession on behalf of the Order.
The Perpetual Profession of Sister Terezija took place in the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Križevci (Croatia) during Divine Liturgy, which was celebrated by Most Reverend Nikola Kekić. Participants and guests include the Sisters of St. Basil, many clergy, family, friends, parishioners, and other faithful. Following the Divine Liturgy, Sisters was greeted by those present, who offered their prayers and best wishes. Many shared how moved they were by the ancient monastic ceremony of professin, which includes many meaningful rituals and symbols. It was a blessed day in the the history of the Church.
