On December 24, 2017 the observance of the Feast of the Nativity of Our Lord commenced with the celebration of Great Compline with Lytia in Christ the Kind Chapel in the monastery of the Generalate of the Basilian Fathers in Rome.

On January 28, 2018, faithful gathered at the Basilica of Saint Sofia in Rome for Hierarchal Divine Liturgy celebrated by His Beatitude Sviatoslav, Head of the UGCC.

On Thursday, February 1, 2018 on the eve of the Feast of the Presentation of Our Lord (Gregorian calendar), members of various consecrated life communities of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic and Ukrainian Roman Catholic Churches, who minister in Italy, gathered together.

The afternoon of December 28, 2017, the Generalate House of the Order of Sisters of St. Basil the Great in Rome filled with the members of the Generalate of the Basilian Fathers, who live around the corner on St. Josafat and the Aventino Streets.

Sharing the joyful news of the nativity of the Son of God is an ancient Christian tradition, which found in many cultures. Often carolers visit family, friends and acquaintances singing the good news and bringing joyful greetings and wishes of this glorious event.

On the second day of the Feast of the Nativity (Gregorian calendar), December 26, 2017 the Papal Basilica of Saint Peter in the Vatican filled with Ukrainians from all corner of Italy. They gathered to united their hearts and prayers in thanksgiving to God and to share with one another the joy of the birth of Jesus Christ and together sing the traditional Christmas carols.

The annual Stations of the Cross were held on the Sunday of the Veneration of the Holy Cross, March 19, 2017 at the Basilica of St. Sofia in Rome.

2 04 17 1At the initiative and organization of the coordinators, on April 2, 2017 the members off “Mothers in Prayer” (Rome regional) had an opportunity to pray together in the Pontifical Chapel of the Holy Stairs (Santa Scala) located across the street from the Basilica of St. John Lateran.

On August 1, 2017 on the Feast of our Reverend Saint Mother Macrina two postulants were accepted into the Novitiate and received their monastic habits and names:
