At the Generalate on Monday, November 19, 2018 the Basilian Sisters of the Preparatory Committee began a working session, which lasted through November 23. Sisters arrived from all corners of the world.
In St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome on November 12, 2018 Bishop Dionisio Lachovicz, Apostolic Visitator for Ukrainian Catholics in Italy, celebrated a Hierarchal Divine Liturgy at the altar of Saint Basil the Great, which holds the uncorrupted remains of Priest-Martyr Saint Josaphat.
On Sunday, November 11, 2018, anticipating the Feast of the Priest-Martyr Saint Josaphat, the Basilian Sisters from the Generalate witnessed a very special event. Basilian Brother Pedro (Peter) Rinczeski from the Province in Argentina, currently a student at the St. John Lateran Pontifical University in Rome, professed Monastic Perpetual Vows during the Divine Liturgy.
On August 1, 2018, the Feast of Saint Macrina (Julian calendar), three postulants in the Most Holy Trinity Province in Ukraine began their novitiate by donning the monastic habit and accepting their new names.
On Sunday, July 29, 2018 three Sisters, novices at the Most Holy Trinity Province (Ukraine), Sister Meletiia Hajnijuk, Sister Kateryna Stasyk, and Sister Melaniia Martynyshyn, professed their First Temporary Vows in the chapel of the novitiate house in Brukhovichi.
On July 8, 2018 a Hierarchal Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the monastery chapel of Christ the King in the in the city of Apostoles in Misiones, Argentina. The celebration was in honor of Sister Daniela Lincheski, OSBM of Christ the King Province in Argentina, who was celebrating her 50th year of consecrated life as a Sister of the Order of Saint Basil the Great.
