At the request of the Patriarchal Commission on Monasticism, a new documentary film about vocations to consecrated life has been prepared.

Symbolically, the film centers on the heroic sacrifices of persons from the past, reviewed during Passion Week, when everyone tries to deepen their understanding of the living-giving sacrifice, which Christ brought through His self-sacrifice, thereby, attaining our salvation.
Headed by His Beatitude Sviatoslav Shevchuk, Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, a celebration of the day of consecrated life on the Feast of the Presentation of Our Lord in the Temple in 2017 took place in Drohobych. During the procession, highlighted were items especially relevant to each Order or Community, such as relics or icons of their Saints and Blessed Forefathers and Foremothers. The participants visited a prison where in the past-consecrated persons witnessed their faith and the blood of the martyred infused the ground becoming a “priceless ointment” for our souls and for future generations. These martyrs for the faith are unforgettable, eternal signs of love of Jesus Christ – Our Savior and God.
