The Basilian Governance Commission had their second meeting during October 19 - 23, 2015 in Rome. Members of the Commission resided and held their meetings at the facilities located by St. Sofia on Via Boccea. They continue to work with the requests and ideas provided during the X General Chapter.
On November 8, 2015 representatives of the Basilian Fathers, Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate, and Sister Catechists of St. Anne gathered together with our Sisters at the Generalate to celebrate the 50th anniversary of monastic life of Sr. Atanasia Anheluk.
Celebration of the Feast of the Holy Hieromartyr St. Josaphat in Rome opened with Great Vespers celebrated at the Pontifical Collegio Ucraino of St. Giosafat on the evening of November 11, 2015.
Sister Lydia Anna Sawka, General Vicar, traveled to the United States of America in the late fall as delegated by Mother Dia Stasiuk to complete the canonical visitation of the Sacred Heart Monastery in Middletown, New York.
From November 13 to December 16, 2016 Sister Basylia Hanas, OSBM, from the Holy Cross Province in Poland was a guest at the Generalate.
November 24 – December 3, 2015, Mother Dia Stasiuk, General Superior, and Sr. Emanuela Vavrekova, General Councillor, held Canonical Visitation of the Sisters in Poland. Mother Magdalena Szewczyk, Provinical Superior, accompanied them as they visited the convents in Warsaw, Gorlice, and Peremysl.

The consecration and blessing was celebrated by Major-Archbishop Sviatoslav Shevchuk along with numerous con-celebrating priests.
On December 4, 2015 the first celebration of the Feastday of the Church and the Monasery, Auxiliary Bishop of Kyiv, Most Reverend Josif Milan blessed the monastery of the Sisters of the Order of St. Basil the Great in Zhytomyr, Ukraine.
On December 13, 2015, as part of celebrating the Year of Consecrated Life, some of our Sisters at the Generalate accepted an invitation and attended a social gathering and prayer at the Generalate of our next-door neighbors, the Franciscan Sisters, Daughters of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary.
On December 14, 2015 M. Daniela Stefkova, OSBM, recently-elected Provincial Superior of the Mother of God Province in Presov, Slovakia, arrived, bringing Sister Emanuela Vavrekova, assisting her move to the Generalate in Rome.
